The video exam performance must be recorded no earlier than three 3 weeks prior to enrolment and submitted no later than 30 November. Face-to-face examinations will proceed under COVID-safe protocols in accordance with Public Health Directions. As there continues to be a possibility that face-to-face examinations will be restricted by public health measures, it is suggested that candidates prepare for a Repertoire exam, if suitable, so that they can transfer to a recorded video exam if face-to-face examinations cannot proceed safely.
A school or private studio with examining time of 3 hours or more in a particular instrument may apply to be an examination centre and also may request to host practical examinations outside the published session dates. The following session dates apply to general centres, as published. A Special Diploma Session for Licentiate, Associate and Certificate of Performance candidates will be held at the AMEB Hawthorn Studios from 21 March to 3 April entries close 11 February.

Examinations for Associate and Licentiate diplomas not available in Regional Sessions. You have 5 days to complete the Transfer Request Form and attach a medical certificate that includes advice from the doctor regarding when you would be fit to be examined.
